Put the “picture” in picture window

What exactly is a picture window? A picture window is a large fixed window that is either without glazing bars or features glazed bars only near the edge of the window. A picture window gets its name because it is designed to provide a clear view of your surroundings, acting as a picture frame for the scenery outside. Since it features a wide expanse of glass, a picture window is great for bringing natural light to your home. Adding a picture window to a room is also a wonderful way to highlight an attractive outdoor view. You may even choose to replace a combination

Window Safety Checklist

Windows play a vital role in home safety, serving as a secondary escape route in the event of a fire or other emergency, but they can also pose a risk for a fall if safety measures are not followed. Follow these guidelines to prevent window-related injuries in the home: Keep windows closed and locked when children are around When opening windows for ventilation, open windows that children cannot reach Don't rely on insect screens to prevent a fall, as they are designed to provide ventilation and not to prevent a child's fall from a window Keep furniture, or anything children

Turns out, all of the windows in their home had been replaced recently, except for those two windows in the basement. Hopefully your home fared better in the storms. If you have cause for concern, though, feel free to call us at Gravina's. We will come out

Thanks for the awesome review, Sharon

"I have placed orders with Gravina's Windows and Siding for several years now and have always received excellent product and service. I cannot say how much I love my windows - they are the best. And I did quite a bit of research before buying anything. I also bought a front storm door and the back patio sliding door, which are also great. I am now in the process of ordering some siding and gutters. I cannot say enough about their workmanship - the installer was very good at his job and very professional. All work was completed on time

A good crew can install 10 3-by-5-foot double-hung replacement windows in a day. (Bing: How to clean double-hung windows) 2. What level of service will you provide? The installer should not charge to remove old windows and other debris, and the company should protect your home and landscaping. 3. Is your work certified or factory-authorized? Installers may be certified by InstallationMasters, which is good. But factory-authorized installers are better because they are trained
